Deacon Ministry

The word “Deacon” means servant, which is exactly what our deacons are.

At St John, Deacons act on behalf of the Pastor and are available to support you in many ways, for example, prayer, addition to or deletion from the weekly “Sick and/or Prayer Due to Illness and Bereavement” lists, sharing good news; anniversaries, birthdays, graduations, achievements, house blessing, baby dedication, loss of family or friends, communicate concerns, and provide spiritual support.

Each month you are invited to attend Deacon/Member Care Calls with your Deacon and their assigned church members.

If you’re unsure who your Deacon is, you can call the church at 410-992-6977.
